Edward Khris Fernandez is a Filipino-American Stage Manager based out of Southern California. A member of Actors Equity Association: The Labor Union for Actors and Stage Managers. Edward is a young professional making ways in the theatre and live entertainment industry.
Edward has worked locally, regionally, and nationwide, working in California, Colorado, and Illinois, and is open to expanding his network to other companies across the nation. He has worked on a diverse set of professional theatre companies from intimate 33 and 99 seat theatre companies, mid sized theatre companies, resident theatre companies, and large regional theatre companies. Edward is very proud for the work he has worked on, solely working on productions that put diversity at the forefront. He has only worked on productions that have either been written by BIPOC or LGBTQ Playwrights, led by performers belonging in the BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ Community, and/or directed by BIPOC and/or LGBTQ directors. Playwrights works that he has helped produced include Qui Nguyen, Lynn Nottage, Miranda Rose-Hall, Charlayne Woodward, J.C Pankratz, Paulo K Tiról, Lisa Sanaye Dring, and others. He has worked with directors including Jennifer Chang, Kym Pappas, Noam Shapiro, Matt M. Morrow, Vanessa Stalling, Kate Whoriskey, Jesca Prudencio, Matthew Ozawa, and others. Finally, has worked with talents on stage including; Paul Yen, Charlayne Woodward, Surrija (Jane Lui), ALbert Park, August Forman, Sylvia Kwan, Feodor Chin, Earl Baylon, Jupiter Le, and others. As a working professional, Edward is very proud of the Stage Managers he has worked with over the years, who have also helped him become the stage manager he is today. Edward strives to put diversity at the forefront and has dedicated his professional career's mission to produce works that push under represented communities to the front in the industry. Only accepting works that have a commitment to diversity. Outside of Stage Managing, Edward also works as a concert, sporting events, and corporate events supervisor and house manager. Working on high profile events and musicians ranging from the 121st US Open in Torrey Pines, to artists including John Mullaney, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Vampire Weekend, Quinn XCII, John Pardi, and many others! When not working in the live entertainment industry, Edward enjoys finding treasures at Thrift Stores, creating video content on YouTube and TikTok, catching the latest Lakers and Saints sports news, or hanging out with friends at a restaurant or at the basketball court.
